Why Winging It with Intention?
When I was brainstorming a name for this blog, it came to me quickly because it reflects two values, I hold close: winging it and intentionality.
“Winging it,” or rather flexibility, captures the idea that no matter how carefully we plan, life will take unexpected turns. Those deviations aren’t failures — they’re opportunities to learn, pivot, and grow toward something that resonates more deeply than the original plan.
Intentionality, on the other hand, reminds me that winging it doesn’t mean being reckless. It’s about making choices guided by research, experience, and the wisdom of others — building upon what I know while staying open to what I have yet to discover.
In short, this blog is my personal chronicle of becoming.

About the Author
I’m a self-described learner and lifter upper. Life has taught me that growth comes from curiosity, reflection, and a willingness to embrace the unexpected. While I became a parent to our Genevieve Ryan, in May 2021, our household also includes two giant “babies” of the canine variety. This blog is a space for reflection, connection, and exploration of life’s many layers — from personal growth and learning to the everyday moments that shape our journey.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and have experience as a private homeschool teacher, with an emphasis on Montessori and world-schooling approaches. I’ve worked extensively in behavioral science as a dog trainer, specializing in puppies and helping dogs with nervous aggression. I’ve also served as a program coordinator for a nonprofit focused on self-development, undergone leadership training, and explored life coaching techniques. I share this background to highlight the breadth of experiences and perspectives I bring, and to establish the growth-minded, reflective approach that informs this blog.
